Northwest Montana is covered by dense national forests, wide open wheat fields and crystal clear mountain lakes.
The highest point in Montana is Granite Peak at 12,799 feet above sea level.
Did you know that Northwest Montana also has the largest freshwater lake west of the Great Lakes? It's called Flathead Lake and is over 300 feet deep
Montana Population: 902,200 people.
The largest cities are Billings, Butte, Bozeman, Helena, Missoula, Great Falls, Kalispell, Havre, Anaconda and Miles City.
Northwest Montana is home to the following cities and towns: Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Lakeside, Kalispell, Somers, Big Fork, Ferndale, Evergreen, West Glacier, Hungary Horse, Martin City, Polson, Ronan, Pablo, Eureka, Trego, Libby, Polebridge and Kila.
Whitefish is home to The Big Mountain Ski Resort. Lakeside hosts Blacktail Mountain Ski Resort.
In northwest Montana we are fortunate to have an abundance of wildlife including; mountain goats, moose, elk, deer, black bears, grizzly bears, mountain lions, bald eagles and many more.
Northwest Montana is also home to Glacier National Park, the "Crown Jewel" of our Nation's National Parks. There are over 700 miles of hiking trails in Glacier alone.
